Hi Emily,
When you did the wand therapy on my legs last week, it was barely over one week since the operation on the left leg. I could immediately feel rushing of blood in my lower outside shin area and could feel what I imagined to be new vein pathways forming, or new blood circulating. It felt rather cold and fast, but exciting as there was movement! I could literally feel the blood circulating in my lower legs but at a rate that was really fast and surprising. I had done acupuncture after my operation, and had a similar sensation of blood movement in my lower right leg, but not nearly to the extent of the new circulation moving in both legs with the wand. I was a bit skeptical at first , and told myself that I would try it for a few minutes. If nothing happened, then I would leave it. I felt blood flowing right away from the top of my leg and down to my feet. As the EVLA operation closes down the largest vein that runs down our legs from the groin to the foot, it goes through a lot of trauma and feels like a hardened rubber band that cannot be straightened. After the operation, I hadn’t been able to walk without pain, nor straighten my legs fully. Especially after the second leg, when I walked I felt a huge hardened ‘thing’ the size of a coconut in the place of my thigh (with significant black and blue bruises up and down my legs) and felt pain when walking between 3 – 6 level on scale of 1 – 10. After a full session with the wand, I was stunned. I could walk up and down and barely feel a tinge. I thought it might just be a temporary relief, but I went on throughout the weekend to continue to feel just as good and even ended up dancing Friday night, Sat night and at Coachella music festival all day Sunday.
